Sasquatch AR Demo

Submitted by lester on Wednesday, 29 April 20093 Comments

Good afternoon AR enthusiasts and welcome to Wednesday, midpoint of the week. Late blog today as I’ve been in meetings all morning and only now getting a spot of lunch and doing some typing.

The twittersphere is alive with the Sasquatch augmented reality demo today.

It’s an interesting idea to build your own short movie. Simply download the software, select some animation frames for your new yeti buddy and when you point your webcam at the marker watch your movie. Here’s a funny one I found on YouTube.

And here is a short video on how to use it.

You can install the Sasquatch demo and build your own movie from here.

I haven’t got around to installing it yet, but would be interested to hear your thoughts.

It’s not a demo, it’s a website. You don’t install anything to use it.

Cheers Adam, good spot. I saw the word download and didn’t have a webcam so didn’t test.
The download refers to the sasquatch footprint (marker), as Adam says you build your movie using the web UI.
Now I have a webcam and no printer
