Augmented Reality Avatar Toys
Here’s and interesting idea from Mattel to bring action figures from the James Cameron Avatar movie to life. You buy the toys, each of comes with an iTag. The iTag can be scanned with any webcam so you can get additional information about your toy, eg character bios or watch it in action. Apparently if you scan more than one iTag they will interact with each other.
Secondly thanks to guidewire for sending me a link to his favourite AR demo.
The Ewok rampage game in the clip looks like it would be fun.
If you spot anything interesting be sure to let me know. Either post a comment or email me.
