I went in to London on Thursday and tested Layar Qype and Wikitude Qype. The weather was pretty crap so I didn't do a full test. I did however go to Westerminster bridge and look along the South Bank. Wikitude Qype found the London Eye but Layar Qype has that POI missing.

I don't think retesting will affect the scores.

Good point I3reak it would have been interesting to compare how Qype for Layar compared to Qype for Wikitude. Thats my bad.

One thing I learnt is not all browsers are equal regardless of what 'database' they use.

If I get down to London this week I'll run a Qype test.

Wait, didn't you say that Layar has a Qype layar? Why didn't you use that?

Anyway, really great articles! Found you from Slashdot, I'll keep checking the site out.

Great job on this reality browser series. These kind of posts take a lot of time and effort. It's nice to actually have AR products to compare now. :)

I know we are not showing up as a browser right now but our NearestPlaces app is a forerunner of our full browser that will be launched soon. Much is changing but you may want to give it a go. As well, NearestWiki and TweetsAR are worth looking at as well.
