Augmented Reality Art

Whenever we think about augmented reality we think about applications. Be it mobile applications that give you rich location aware information on your surroundings, or interacting with your web cam with a marker.

I never really considered augmented reality art until Patrick Millard sent over some photos that merge the real world with virtual and augmented realities.

It’s good to take a break from another augmented reality iPhone app. Take a look at these:

Daybreak

Celestial Markers

Centurians

Guidestones Teleportation Hub

Scanner

Messengers

Patrick’s inspiration for the Digital Bodies series considers what the future world might be like, both visually and experientially, when the real and the virtual collide.
