iPhone 4 Gyroscope vrs iPhone 3 Accelerometers

Submitted by on Wednesday, 21 July 2010One Comment

Interesting side by side comparison of the the acrossair  augmented reality browser running on both an iPhone 3 and iPhone 4. The video demo’s the sharpness of the new retina display and how the compass + gyroscope gives a smoother, non jerky view of the targets in the camera window.

The combination of the compass and gyroscope on the iPhone 4 gives a better view without the shake caused by the accelerometers – apparently. Almost makes me want to upgrade.

Side by side comparison
