NASAWhen NASA makes an augmented reality application you know its probably going to be something special. And lucky for us, the application is indeed a thing of beauty.

Spacecraft 3D is an augmented reality application that enables you to get up close and personal with several active spacecraft. By printing the marker you are able to examine different spacecraft in 3D and learn more about the engineering that goes into making one of these amazing machines. Some of the craft also have actions, for example you can extend the robotic arm on Curiosity.

In the current version you can explore the spacecraft listed below, but NASA have promised us more:

  • Curiosity (on Mars)
  • Grail (around the Moon)
  • Cassini (around Saturn)
  • Voyager (far, far away)
  • Dawn (traveling to Ceres)
  • Juno (travelling to Jupiter)

The application is available for free and available for iOS devices. You can download from here:
