The software takes the form of markers that represent the main characters from the show, which when presented to the webcam they bring the characters to life in 3D and should prove hours of fun for the younger members of the family.

GE have put together a couple of cool demos to show wind turbines and solar energy usage.  I like the ability to generate wind by blowing on your PC’s microphone. The little scarecrow guy is cool as well.

In the demo the guy is using his iPhone, I searched around on the GE page for details but think he just displaying the marker on this phone not running any application – in case you were wondering.

Not only have they been doing fantastic stuff, but unlike a lot of the demos out there which are just YouTube videos, HIT Lab’s give you applications to install and play around with.
